What is Camlock?

Camlocks also called cam and groove couplings, are a kind of hose coupling used to rapidly connect and disconnect fittings on piping or hose, they come in a variety of materials to be used with different media and a variety of sizes to accommodate hose or piping diameter.
Camlock connector is an economical, convenient and simple way to carrying liquids, powders and granules.

** Applications: Petrochemical Industries, Fertilizers, Atomic Energy, Power Plants, Industrial & Hydraulic products serving the oil & gas industries, chemical industries, steel plants, mining industries, oil refinery industries etc.

** Where they can be used?
* Factories that make or use inks, paints, and/or dyes where it involves frequent changes of hoses to find the right mix.
* Use on agricultural sprayers to save time when they refill the tanks.
* They are used on fuel trucks in the delivery of fuel to domestic premises and service stations. There are no tools needed to make the connection and risk of cross threading is avoided.
* Used on petroleum trucks to take deliver oil or propane.
* Cleaning services use them because they make it easier to connect and disconnect hoses for storage to make transporting and removal of hoses in the event of a blockage occurrence.
* Can be used in a system that allows for the rapid filling of chemical drums.
* Used by fire departments to hook hoses to the fire truck and to fire hydrants.

** Types: A, B, C, D, E, F, DC, DP (A, B, D, F with thread, B, C, D, DC with handles)
Type A: camlock female adapter, has a male grooved adapter and a female pipe thread (BSP or NPT thread) of the same size.
Type B: camlock male coupler, has a female camlock end and a male pipe thread of the same size.
Type C: camlock hose shank coupler, has a female camlock on one end and a male hose tail on the other.
Type D: camlock female coupler, has a female camlock end and a female pipe thread of the same size.
Type E: camlock hose shank adapter, has a male camlock on one end and a male hose tail on the other.
Type F: camlock female adapter, has a male grooved adaptor and a male pipe thread of the same size.
Type DC: camlock dust cap coupling, is an end cap with female camlock.
Type DP: camlock dust plug adapter, is an end cap with male camlock.
